Upon entering the Animal Kingdom and walking through the various nature paths and arriving on Discovery Island, visitors will find themselves face to face with The Tree of Life. The tree is exactly 145 feet tall and was created using a refitted oil platform. The tree was designed to look like an African baobab tree, and it’s trunk and branches feature over 200 carvings of various animal species. The “It’s Tough to Be a Bug!” theater is housed inside of the tree and seats 400 guests.
